I’m so sorry for you, Bryan, and his entire family. I remember when my own grandfather died how sad I was, but how glad I was that he was no longer in pain. That doesn’t make the hurt any less, but I think it helps your mind deal with it (at least it did for me).

He truly was one of the Greatest Generation and my Hero. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Grandpa is with the love of his life now, he called her “little mother” in the sweetest tones.
We will miss his hugs, words, and expressions but his presence will always be with us as he watches over each member of his family.
We are sad for the loss of his physical presence but rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again. When he passed he left with a smile on his face, just enough of a sign to let us all know he was happy and at peace.
I know he will be there to meet me when my time comes as well as throughout my life whenever I need a hug.

I am very sorry to hear of Grandpa’s passing. It’s always hard when a loved one dies. But as you said, he’s with his “little mother” now. He loves you all and will be watching over you.
