Oooh! good one. I know I’ve said it before and I’ll say it umpteen more times – I’m so glad you do this. It reminds me of words I’ve been forgetting and that’s my biggest fear – that I won’t be able to speak my own language anymore. Eep! I hate that thought. Mostly I hate forgetting and thinking I’m forgotten.
I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it many times yet again, but I love the sound of your voice. And I love the way you say ‘Scotland’.
Interesting – us Geordies (north east of England, often mistaken for Scots) say “pet lip”.
I give my husband the petted lip ALL the time!! 🙂
My mom always said, “A little birdies going to come and poop on your lip, if you stick it out.”
But my very Southern ex-husband used to say (insert drawl here), “Stick it out a little farther, and we’ll all ride to town on it.”
